Log Home Media Blasting & Cleaning
Old, failed finish and grime don't need to damage your log home on the way off — we strip it clean without harming the wood underneath.

Before a log home can be refinished properly, old failed finish, mildew, and grime need to come off — without damaging the wood underneath. We use media blasting to strip logs back to clean, sound wood, prepping the surface for chinking, repair, or refinishing work.

What Media Blasting Removes
- Old, failed stain or clear coat
- Mildew, algae, and surface grime
- Weathered, gray wood fibers on unfinished logs
- Loose or peeling material that would trap moisture under a new finish
We use low-pressure media blasting instead of pressure washing, which can force water into checks and joints and damage the wood surface. Media blasting strips the surface clean without driving moisture where it doesn't belong.

Media Blasting on Real Projects
Every restoration starts here. These are our own jobs — walls stripped back to clean bare wood, windows and landscaping masked off first, and lifts brought in so the top courses get the same prep as the bottom ones.
